Taita Taveta Go Blue Project-Waste Recycling Actors Survey

The Taita Taveta Go Blue Project - Waste Recycling Actors Survey, in collaboration with Unhabitat, csudp, and Mombasa County, aimed to enhance municipal solid waste management systems in Taita Taveta County. Geotechsys Africa played a crucial role in data collection, analysis, reporting, and GIS mapping to support the county government's efforts to upgrade its waste recovery facility at Chakaleri. The project also focused on involving women and young people in waste recycling and management to create employment opportunities and promote environmental sustainability.

Tasks

Data Collection: Using Kobo Collect, we gathered comprehensive data on waste recycling and management in Taita Taveta County.

Data Analysis: We identified patterns and trends to improve waste management systems.

Reporting: Detailed reports highlighted key findings and recommendations.

GIS Mapping: We visualized spatial data on waste infrastructure using GIS mapping.

Our survey improved waste management in Taita Taveta County, creating employment and supporting environmental goals. We're committed to sustainable development through technology and expertise, fostering inclusive growth.
